The current situation of gauvansh is really terrifying. A majority of farmers unable to bear the non-milking cows either sell them to a third person or set them free .In both the cases the end result is miserable death of gaumata either by eating plastic or in the slaughtered houses . We have taken an initiative where we are protecting the non-milking cows by running an economic model based on their cow dung or gaumutra. Another trend which Has became so popular now a days is to discard the local breeds and focussing on the breeds flike Gir or Sahiwal which are considered to be high milk yielding cows. But in gokulam we believe that Local is Vocal so our first priority is to preserve the local breed and promoting them for everything.
